preparation is important
I will be trying to limit my materials to gouache and pencil and working on paper to a format that is the same size as the large oil painting canvases I have started in the studio. 1650 x 1800 mm
this will help me with composition when I return.
materials include gouache
coloured pencils
watercolour paper or similar some pre prepared with gesso and Sienna wash
some linen off cuts with clear primer as I am taking the Zorn palette…
inspired by Bonnard pencil and gouache en plein air drawings.
also thinking about Arshile Gorky Landscapes 1943-1947 and Samuel Palmer
